10 days, 10 dollars, 10 you.

While I return to my neglected blog in this late night and in the midst of cooking my magi mee, I realize that I haven’t been blogging for more than 10 days. I’m pretty busy recently but obviously will not be as busy if I could have been a greater manager for time.

As I recall and bring my memory to last Friday evening, I remembered caring Joey organizing a surprise potluck chalet party for JJ for his 25th birthday. Everything went pretty well and prefect, even the keeping of secret apparently. The weather was fine, attendance was awesome but venue just a bit too far.

Basically everyone brought food for the party and seriously it was pretty fun with many people bring different stuffs over. It was rather unexpected since there were really people bringing home made food over. Although that was really the purpose of it but who really does it? There was Chinese spaghetti (at least that was what I call it since there were mushrooms and meatballs), salad, steamboat (prepared by a few of us and neglected beside the sink) and some takeaways like KFC, Old Junkie and others. Overall, there was enough food for everyone and still some leftovers.

If you were to call it a birthday celebration, I believe Junjie would have felt it was more of a get together. In my opinion, at the current age we are at, birthday celebration is just an excuse for everyone to take out some time to appear together for some catching up. That’s really why we have so many holidays and functions that we organize. But it’s also this catching up and gatherings that makes up one’s life.

Although gathering seems pretty to organize but to have so many people attending takes no mean feat. It actually cost Junjie a quarter of a century to build up such a reputation for so many people to appear. I shall show some pictures to identify the guest of the night.

And the super duper luper fuper vuper durian cake. I'm serious, its damn creamy.

We played pictionary and 8 guys go against 8 girls. Basically throw a dice, move, pick a card, draw, guess and proceed. First to reach wins and I seriously suspect the girls cheated because they were not making any sensible drawings to make any logical guessing yet they got it right. See this for yourself.

Tell me they didn't cheat...

Losers actually had to down some drinks mixed with different kind of alcoholic drinks.DSC04238
By this time, there were already plenty of emptied bottles in the bin. These 9 bottles were the survivor...

Everyone retired by 5am that night with only the couple staying back to enjoy the rest of the night in peace. And the poor me have to wake up the next morning 9am to play futsal with Cherng and gang. God…

Monday and Tuesday was back to school and since Time Management project was due on Wednesday, the whole of Tuesday was devoted to it and I actually underestimated the project and spent the whole night getting the report out. But all was good and at least I had it out. Talk about having some good time management. I definitely have a long way to go and so much more to learn.

Thursday was plain nua-day while Friday was a movie date with dear sylvia. We watched 钱不够用2 and god it’s a wonderful local production. Definitely worth the 10 years of wait and my six dollars that was donated to the box office. I give it 4/5 for a local production that went so well and successful in local context. I did tears a bit towards the end and go catch it if you have the time and bit of money to spare. And I’m not saying it’s not a comedy. Go, go watch it!

Saturday was boring school and as if it agony wasn’t enough, Team H had to stay back to finish up Go-bust and end the Saturday with a down note.

Sunday morning was AHM and thank god there was no rain during the run. I ran and ran and ran and completed it with a 2 hour 5 minutes and 21 seconds. Disappointing indeed since I did not improve since last year but I can only look forward to year end Standard Chartered Run for improvement. I shall blame it all on lack of training, my cough and sore throat and everything but myself. Ok. Lost to nearly 1.5k guys, half a thousand of lady and a few hundred of elders. Shall not comment too much on it!!!

That evening was much better since I got finally another good news for the entire week. Go-bust result delights me since for once my team was on the upper half of the industry. This is one damn competitive industry and how nice it will be if they were not all low cost leadership. But a week on top delights me plenty. Enough for me to have a good night of sleep…

Monday’s only good news was the victory of Manchester United game with Portsmouth. 1-0 with Darren Fletcher being the scorer and currently with 2 goals under his belt, he is the top scorer for the team. Go Man Utd and for once, well done Fletcher.

The unlikely scorer... 2 goals for Man Utd all scored by him so far...

AND totally random, calvin referred this video to me. I swear you must watch this. Too good, too real, too talented, too wrongly used...
