Yesterday was Cherng’s birthday and today we celebrated with him by eating chili crab at Tanny’s house. We bought 2 bottles of Baron and 2 chili crabs with a lot of buns to go with. It was nice to eat these crabs once in a while. And even better when Cherng and I just finished a marathon the day before.

KTV at Party World was my favorite pastime with Nicholas and gang. Went singing and that was my first after like since my preparation for my exam. Singing was great especially when you have not done it for a long time. Went to Mr Bean to eat after singing and the food still smell as nice.

Played soccer at the fico pitch in the evening with criminals and as23 players was something we haven’t been doing. It has been a while since the team has any chance to play some soccer together and hopefully the team gets to play some field soccer soon.

Firstly, Today is Michiko Jie’s Birthday!!!! Wish you enjoy the whole of upcoming year more than this year and may your health and wealth improve through the years!!! Gong hey Gong hey!!! I was out with Joey and Junjie for a meet-up as I pass him his race pack for the Standard Chartered and their wedding video. We decided to watch Twilight since there wasn’t many shows available at Marina Square.
Twilight was Stephenie Meyer's 4 volume novel turn movie and this first volume starts the romance of Belle Swan and Edward Cullen. The story revolts around vampires residing in the rainy town of Forks and life was disturbed for this batch of immortals when Belle shifts in from Phoenix. Edward fells in love with Belle which was express as, ‘So the lion fell in love with the lamb’ in the show by Edward. I think this show will be liked by the novel twilighters, the teens or the girls. It was ok for me and I give it a 3/5 stars.

The Entrance

I met up with Cherng, Tanny and BL at Vivocity to catch the show IP MAN. We grabbed dinner at Sushi Tei branch at Vivocity and I got myself a Zuwaigani Fried Rice. Its not the best but I guess I was pretty hungry at that time and gulp it down pretty quickly. Its definitely filling for me. Got another plate of sushi to totally satisfy my hunger.
This part is damn funny. The son came out halfway and to convery her mother's message during the fight!!!
IPMAN was a terrific show. I have no idea what show it was before I agreed on watching. I even got the name wrong as I.P man which I thinking how was it related to Bruce Lee’s martial art teacher. But with no anticipation, this show hypes me up with the patriotism, little humors and definitely the fighting actions and scenes. The plot was not at all that exciting since it was citing the history of Ip Man and the war period. He has got a boring yet trilling life.

Playing billiard with Kumar was something I have not been doing for a while. He totally trashed me during the game. I could only remember winning one game and fighting hard for a couple. The last game was totally his to win with me losing 40 to 50 points. I have much to learn and practice before I play with him again.

Finally I get to play football back at Bukit Gombak and this time with a new addition. Guowei joined Kumar, Cherng and me in the morning 10am and we were the first to reach. There were some random people playing there and we challenged them for an early game. Our team dominated for a while and stayed on the court for at least 1.5 hours and seriously the weather was insane for soccer. I got plenty of bruises and a light burn… Lol. After the soccer session, we went to the pool for some water therapy. We tried the slides, chit chat in the pool and laze around in lazy pool. Went to the extent of going against the current of the lazy pool and its not really that easy seriously… I rushed home after swimming, got dressed and dash off to GuangDa’s Birthday celebration. I was late but not the last. We got a cake, a Jay Chou’s latest album and foot his bill for him. Ate at Jack’s Place and got myself a chicken cordon bleu. It was nice taste with good side dishes to complement it. I would recommend it if you have craving for some chicken delights.

We wanted to catch a movie but seriously weekend is not a good time for movie. So crowded and so inconvenient to even get the tickets and thus we decided to play some games at the Settlers. Its located in SMU and it’s a good place to lose some time and have great bonding and fun. We played Jenga, Saboteur and this bone game that I don’t really remember the name but the point of the game is to grab a bone once you traded and got five of the same cards. The rest of the players all grab a bone after you do and one of the players will not get a bone. So loser does a forfeit. Fun of this game is you stop trading, grabbed a bone and still people did not notice it. I think I pretty suck in it but had great fun. Saboteur was fun too. There are two groups, the miner and the sabotages. Miners make your way to the gold, while the opposition prevents you from doing it. Suspense in the game lies in not knowing which one is the gold in the midst of other 2 coal cards and who are your allies and foes. Jenga needs no explaining. Whoever drops the tower lose.
Just when I thought the night was over, there was a mahjong session at Nichola’s home and I was so lethargic by than that I couldn’t really concentrate and was playing asleep. There was only one loser in the end but we played to little to cause any damage. Only damage done to everyone was the lack of sleep. Took bus 99 home since there is no bus for me in the morning.
AND YA!!! GuangDA!!! Happy Birthday MAN!!!

Sunday used to be Soccer day for me but apparently this wasn’t the case recently. Met up with Sylvia for lunch at the new Jurong Point they call it JP2 and we roam around at the new shops and its got bigger and more variety of shops. Met Kelvin there too as he is now working at May Bank. After lunch, I went off to meet Lixing, Heeling and Vernon for a dinner gathering since we haven’t met in the longest of time. We dine at Dian Xiao Er at Marina Square.

We were sitting behind the waitress when we ate there.

They are famous for their duck. Try it if your a duck lover :D
Had the following:
1) Herbal Roast Duck
2) Sweet and Sour Pork
3) Fried Kai Lan
4) Butter Prawn with Black Pepper
5) Longan and Almond Drink (Cold)
6) Steaming Superior Rice
Those wasn’t exactly the name of the dishes but recalled to the best of my memory though. Very nice and it suits my taste buds totally. Will go back again if I have another craving next time. After the meal and talking-cock session, Sze Tho called to meet us at Bukit Timah 24 hour coffee shop to chit chat further. We went, sat and chat. Had some pratas and drink before Sze Tho suggested pool. It seems like so long since I last played pool and I think I have lost the touches to clear in just a few cues. And guess what… After pool session, we went back to sit and chat at the coffee shop… I was totally drained of energy by then and simply out of focus during the chat. Got home at 3am and boy was it tiring.

Met up with Shuiyi for dinner and we had Sushi Tei. She recommended the Sashimi Salad with Sushi Tei dressing and we change all the sashimi to salmon and we shared a Dai Dai Roll. I got myself a Yakitori Don while Shuiyi get herself a Cha Soba. It was a good meal. A fantastic one actually and seriously I think I have become a fan of Sushi Tei… She paid for the dining and I sincerely appreciated it. Will treat back once I get my first pay… Thanks a lot! We went Starbucks for a chat and it was a good gathering since we haven’t met up since like 1 year ago. Chat from driving to her work to a lot of crap. Lol.

Had our dosage of tennis at Vernon's condo. We had a short trip to Mustafa before we started our tennis session though. This was my first visit despite being a Singaporean for almost my entire life here so far. Back to tennis... Vernon's tennis improved a lot since the last time we played. Not the professional kind but at least its not flying around anymore. Heeling on the other hand had his first encounter and seems to like it pretty much. There might just be more sessions in the future. Raymond joined us since he lives nearby and we chit chat at Vernon's house. I'm impressed that Vernon plays the piano. Not surprising, just didn't expect it. He demonstrated the tune of final fantasy and god I love it. I simply adore people or things with musical talent. Love it! We left at around 6pm and I left off for an impromptu gathering I only get to know at 4pm.
The steamboat was at Allan’s house and I asked for directions from him. Situated at Sims drive, he told me to alight at Paya lebar MRT station and walk along Geylang Lorong 17. I did as told and only to not find any Lorong 17. I walked in the drizzle and past all the Lorongs from 50+ to 20+ before reaching the next train station. All the sight seeing and walking took me half an hour or so… Was all exhausted from all the walking. It was a nice gathering. Nice food and company of friend to celebrate Christmas Eve. I left early since Zhang offered to give me a lift and he got to pick up his girlfriend and I’m already tired and decided to call it a day.
Halfway through to picking up her girlfriend who was singing, she called to say they extended the room for another hour and so I tag along. The whole group of them was in serious Christmas mood and I sat there to enjoy their singing but they thought I was bored and picked some songs for me to sing. I sang in the cold room and my voice tremble while I sing. Damn cold and mind you I was in shorts. So in the end I got home at 4am to end the day…
