Code of the day: The pain of every change is forgotten when the benefits of that change are realized.
Listening to ... Ayu-ro mix - Depend on you (Eurosenti Mix)
Just got back from a few games of billiard and a night mahjong section...
Making any change can be a headache, but not changing can cause heartache. The joy of any success is almost always preceded by the agony of some mistakes, disappointments, and pain. That was what I have been experiencing the past 2 weeks and every single moment.
For the whole of last 2 weeks was about walking. One particular exercise name,"Gipsy 2" was terrible. The whole of tekong was under our foot for the whole day and we are supposed to find 6 check points before going back to the base. Walked from 12.30pm to 00.30am the next day. 12 hours of non-stop walking, bashing and swearing. Was trapped in a mangrove swamp. Stormy weather, stream unpeneratable in front of us, vegetation of thorns everywhere, extremely heavy signal set that can't seems to get any reception resting on my back, poor visibility in the thick forestation, approaching night and 4 weak souls giving way any moment... Painful experience in order to get out of the swamp. Got pricked here and there and there while back-tracking. Night time was demoraling due to the swamp incident. Exercise was suppose to be cut at 11pm but we were 10km away from the camp so we walked half way before we see a rover which pick us up and brought us back to camp. Have 2 live firing sections during the 2 weeks. One was familiarization of firing of the M203 and LAW plus some demostration of the claymore bomb and banglore torpedo firing. Other one was Section live firing day shoot and night shoot. Both firing was conducted in Singapore and was quite an eye opening for me. But then by this period, fatigue level was already very high and morale was rock bottom low considering the fact that one of the day was bookout day to be... Tried repelling too! Interesting but scary too (I have some height phobia...). Very fun maybe because I have never try before. The only happy thing that might had occured might be breaking my own SOC timing during the Trial test. Got a 8.37! Improvement of 25 seconds from my last best timing and an improvement of about 2 minutes from the last run. That's about all that have happened to me during my 2 weeks. Besides wanting to go home, my mind was empty... Finally I am back...
Before stopping, wish to say thank you to and for giving me encouragement for my previous post lilstarzpebblez, candyfeehily and happy83 for giving me encouragement for my previous post. Thanks once again.
