I alway have problem pronouncing on 1st few days, alway Adam's Khoo.
After the 1st week, things calm down and we can afford some free time...
And Yeah... Doremon was our best friend...
It’s finally break time after two weeks of work at Adam Khoo learning centre. Plenty of discoveries were found there in terms of self development and inspirations. Through working, I found the need for urgency in my work and the ‘coolness’ necessary to have while handling unhappy parents. These long lost qualities were lost for a very long time and they require long time seasoning before they become a skill instilled in oneself for life.
Basic excel functions were learnt and some work operations were felt first hand. Basically job scope for me was relatively easy and dead but requires more careful attention. Learning to work with different people proves to be a major skill too and it seems to be the key to almost everything in life currently.
Calvin and I actually did the simplest of stuff in the centre but seem to be recognized by the trainers and staff working there. I do not know about Calvin but I felt slightly relieved that I did not screw up the place or even if I did, I think not that much. A little bit of appreciation by them is a little bonus above my pay. Would like to thank their cooperation through the work and the little praises they gave, the life experience shared by Candy and jokes provided by YY, not forgetting the donut by Serene. The cheerful attitude and spirit demonstrated by every individual despite the fact that they are tired and low are a powerful source of energy for one another to lighten us up.
Apparently I learnt that there are two kinds of smiles. One kind is those that come from the heart and are the ones that I gave when I see the cuter and more adorable kids since they are so true in nature and still pure at heart. The other kind of smile which I call it a fake smile as I learnt it in Naruto and applying it real life in work. These are put on display for the parents who come and make enquires and those troublesome parents and working partners. Frankly speaking, I doubt many people can actually smile with a joyous feel and deep down in their heart still feel happy. At least, it’s not for me. However, in the service line, these are a must have weapon to make sure that your life would be less rocky in the days to come. Conflicts in work are unavoidable and the little smile would lessen the chance of getting into a quarrel and higher probability of getting a work done.
There are however some parts of the work which I dislike. It is mainly some poor coordination between each staffs. Since the image of the centre are represented by every staff as a whole, any poor distribution of information among one another is a killer blow since follow ups will be hard for any one to continue with lack of helpful information.
Despite that, it was a pleasant time at the centre and I learnt, appreciated, discovered and got inspired plenty in many ways.
Side tracking a little bit more than a little, I enjoyed a get together session with Gui and Loke on Friday night due to busy schedules each of us have. It wasn’t easy for us to meet because one always flies around while another had crazy time slots. I’m pretty much free during school days though. Had our gathering at New YorkNew York and had a great dinner there mainly because I was starving after work that day. Lols. Had a chicken set meal and a cup of hot chocolate mixed with strawberry drink. The meal was nothing out of the norm but the hot chocolate was sweet, too sweet. A decent meal, a great chat and these makes a relaxing Friday after a long day work.
School is starting in a while. Time to warm up the engine. And Happy Birthday to my friend, Renfeng!
Feng Zai, Sheng Ri Kuai Le!
